I love cooking full stop. On the boat, it's even more of a pleasure because of the amazing local ingredients you can buy so readily. It's true to say we do go to supermarkets quite a lot, but we also seek out smaller independent shops as well. It makes shopping far more enjoyable when you get bread from the bakery, meat from a butcher, fish from the market and vegetables from a grocery shop.
So, it's not Michelin Star stuff, or even beautifully presented, but I do try to make it look pretty on the plate. And although I say so myself, it's always rather delicious!
